The food and service was excellent. We were in Heber City 3 nights and dined at Vito's 2 of them. Everything was wonderful - huge portions! We'll be back next time we're in town!

We've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and I am SO glad that we did. From the appetizers to the desserts....were absolutely amazing. The roasted asparagus and the bruschetta are a delicious must!

Great restaurant right in Heber. We live near Jordanelle and tend to head to Park City for dinner, so its nice to have an option in Heber. Everyone was very friendly from the hostess that greeted us to our waitress. There was a cute patio area but we opted to eat inside given it was still almost 90 degrees out. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the portions. I noticed a couple reviews stated small portions. I'm not sure if they have insane appetites because I consider myself to eat a lot and thought the portions were very generous. I ordered a caesar salad, and chicken piccata for dinner and could only eat half of the meal. I'm excited to have it for leftovers. IMy husband ordered the chicken parmesan and thought it was very good, but we both thought it could have used a bit more marinara sauce. I also eyed all the plates going to other tables and everything looked good and plentiful. We will visit again at some point.

We had a very disappointing meal tonight. There was only the one waitress and whomever was in the kitchen. There was no bartender either so the service was understandably a bit slow and inattentive. The salads, bread and entries all came at the same time. The portions for everything were on the small side but so is the price. We had to ask for butter and grated cheese. The fresh cheese never made it to the table. A little olive oil, hot pepper flakes and fresh grated cheese to dip the bread in would have been nice. The bread was actually some type of rolls cut in half. Our salads had no wow factor. Three of us had the Chicken Parmesan and agreed the texture was pasty/flour although the meat was juicy and tender but flavorless, lacking a nice crispyness you want in this type of chicken. The pasta and sauce was not as good as you could get from a jar and box of pasta from the market. My wife had the lobster ravioli and her opinion of it was "Terrible" so as of now we will not be returning. :/

This was my first visit and I have to say the food was fabulous as well as the service. I had the lobster ravioli which was well priced and perfectly portioned. Not over sized like so many places. The sauce was so good I wanted to lick the bowl. There were 10 people in our party and everyone was very happy with their selections. We will definitely be back! Our server was Kristen and she was really great!

This is truly a hidden gem in Heber City. I tried the lamb and it was superb. They put a rub on the chops that really enhances the flavor. My wife had Fettuccine Alfredo and she mentioned it was truly the best she ever had...authentic Italian. If you are in the area you have to try Vito's.

Flavor is authentic and delightful. Portions are scant. We've visited several times and haven't found a menu item to be lacking. (In flavor .... not size )

Fantastic Restaurant for the price. Shellfish, Lobster dish, Alfredo are excellent. Next I will try the Shrimp Scampi.

A friend who had genuine Italian grandparents recommended this placeas having fresh, made from scratch Italian. We trusted her opinion enough to try it for a Saturday nigh dinner, and were pleasantly surprised. The bread was fresh, delicious, and came with olive oil and vinegar to dip, as well as butter. I ordered Chicken Picatta, and was happy to see the presentation: lots of fresh peppers, giant capers, parmesan, and chicken that was grilled to perfection, moist but not greasy. My husnband got the spaghetti marinara. He grew up eating a lot of Italian, so he's a spaghetti conossieur, and thought it was very good. For Lunch: we took my son back to try it. I had the Caprise salad--loved the balsamci vinegar drizzle, and the salmon picatta, which was excellent. I enjoyed the parmesan--shaved rather than shredded. My husband had the lasagna. Mellow, rich flavors. Very good. Whoever said the portions were scant must have been expecting a lot, because my 6'4" son had more Linguini Alfredo than he could eat, but loved the flavor. Very reasonably priced food and good quality. We'll be back.

We drove by and were surprised to see a new restaurant that was of all things Italian! We decided any new restaurant (that was not ANOTHER Mexican place) deserved at least a trial visit. I am so happy to report that we FINALLY have a GOOD Italian restaurant in town! The location and atmosphere is fun and the food was really good! The prices are great as well and we will be back many times now that we know it's here. We ordered the Bruschetta, a Watermelon salad, Parmesan chicken and Fettuccine Alfredo. They all tasted awesome and the presentation was nice. Portions were good as well and the service was great. Let's give them our support everyone to make sure they are here to stay!

After 9 visits to Vito's, I wish I could rate it higher, for every meal has shown great potential, and then one way or another, Vito's shoots itself in the foot, such as serving Chicken Picatta without the required capers. The most persistent problem is harsh, under cooked garlic, especially the garlic bread. Sometimes the main dishes come with almost properly cooked garlic, mostly not. Instead you get the harsh, grating, obnoxious taste of under cooked garlic, the reason why many people hate garlic. Properly cooked garlic is mellow and a delight. Under cooked, semi-raw garlic is disgusting and more often than not, Vito's blows it. Getting past the garlic flaw, Vito's offers spectacular Italian food at very reasonable prices, food so good that we keep suffering the obnoxious garlic to eat there. But how to rate it? Fix the garlic problem, and this would be a hands down 5* winner, but no 5* restaurant should screw up basic garlic cooking like Vito's does. So you takes your chances, and the garlic debacle earns Vito's only 3*.

I was very disappointed in Vito's, after hearing many great reviews we decided to give it a shot. When we went it was a slow night, there were maybe 4 other tables besides ours. It took them 10 minutes to sit us. Our waitress was rude, and unprofessional. We ordered the tri-tip bruschetta, which came out ice cold and took about 35 minutes to come out (also wrong, we asked for no radicchio. When we told the server it was cold and had radicchio she said: "Well you said no arugula!"). I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, the spaghetti was super over cooked and had absolutely no flavor. My partner ordered the chicken Alfredo, same problem over cooked pasta and flavorless sauce. It was the worst Italian I have ever eaten. We even complained and all the server said was: "Well do you want some more bread?". WHERE IS THE MANAGEMENT!? Save your self $30 and get a can of chef boyaredee.

Went here this evening for my birthday heard great things about this new Italian place here in our beautiful little town. Fyi we really needed something new. Now for my 4 star rating server brandi she was great and kinda cute. The food was above average I won't say stellar. Pasta was cooked perfectly the mushrooms in my lobster ravioli was very good the shrimp was just the right size cooked perfectly the chicken parm my wife had looked and tasted great they said the portions where perfect good sized piece of chicken. In this chef's opinion good food good price at $10 / $13 a plate in my opinion is very reasonable. Keep improving folks and you'll do well here.

My husband and I went here last night. We were very excited to try it after hearing all the great reviews. To start, the garlic bread tasted store bought, like the kind you buy in the foil wrapper and just heat up in your oven. It was cold and not very appetizing at all. If I'm going to an Italian restaurant and it says garlic bread, I'd expect something much better than that. My husband ordered the lobster ravioli. He said his was delicious! I had the chicken piccatta and it was OK. The bow tie pasta was extremely overcooked and way too soft. It also had been rinsed so much that the sauce wouldn't even stick to it. So I had soft, flavorless pasta. I will say that the chicken was delicious though. Overall, if we are going to be spending $12 a plate on dinner, we will be going somewhere else. It wasn't worth it to us.

We stopped in here from a recommendation and the reviews. Decor looks like a nice little restaurant. When we arrived, it was not very busy but definitely filled up quickly. The food was good / decent but not exceptional and not as authentic Italian as it claims or the reviews say (Olive Garden quality). Waitress. Christine, was very friendly.

This place rocks. If your looking for quality food at a very fair price save yourself some time and get to Vito's before it catches fire. Our party of 6 had a 100% approval. Loved it!!!

Great food, little slow and rough around the edges amazing menu anything Italian really. Chicken Alfredo rivals olive garden prices are great for the amount of food you get!

Came in with a promotional gift certificate from restaurant.com . Vito's would not accept it, which I can understand, but our server was somewhat brusque and unsympathetic about it. My husband and I agreed that a better approach would have made our experience more enjoyable. We chose to stay anyhow - the restaurant was fairly empty (perhaps two other tables) but our server was distracted and busied himself talking to the other employees. Our food was only okay - another reviewer suggested that it was "Olive Garden Quality" and I have to agree. We had the Caesar salad (reminded me of a grocery-store-Dole salad-kit), tri-tip bruschetta (good, not great), and the chicken parm (and, as another reviewer said, ours was burned). In all, I give it two stars for food but bumped down to one star for service.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
